Records of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life document activities of fraternal societies. Materials consist of correspondence, membership lists and reports from individual fraternities, minutes, budgets, scrapbooks consisting of color photographs, and files for major events after the 1990s, including Greek Sing, Homecoming, leadership conferences, THON, and Spring Week. It also includes 1 silver platter as a memorial. It also includes annual reviews of the fraternities and sororities conducted by the Penn State Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. These records document activities, events, hazing and policy violations, and resolutions of conflicts.

The Pennsylvania Humanities Council designated the year 1985 as "The Year of the Pennsylvania Writer." The PHC funded projects in eight locations throughout the Commonwealth to gain appreciation, understanding, and recognition for past and present Pennsylvania writers. The State College/University Park location held a two-stage conference and related events by five Centre County regional organizations. In 1968, the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs at Penn State reorganized and the Office of Greek Life was created as one of four areas. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic Council (PHC) already existed within the Office of Student Activities, while the Office of Greek Life gave fraternities and sororities a closer relationship with the Penn State Office of Student Affairs.
